Capybara Go! Ultimate Beginners Guide will help new and experienced players to get better understanding of the game, explain its game mechanics, good and bad skills, strategy for specific events and game stages and list overall tips for the players to get better at the game. It's part of Capybara Go! Guides series, where you can find the rest of the guides on the game. It will help both F2P and Paying players, but overall it's written from the F2P Perspective.

Early Game[edit source]

As you start your game, you will have 2 main goals:

  1. Unlock as many game mechanics by progressing the game
  2. Complete 7-Day Carnival Icon.png7-Day Carnival Event for the new players

Here is an order of activities you will need to do to progress. If some of them are missing or locked for you now, just skip them:

  1. Claim Free Equipment Chests
  2. Play Goblin Miner (unlocks at x)
  3. Play Arena (or if you are very new, play after you do the rest of the stuff to get stronger and more competitive)
  4. Claim AFK Rewards
  5. Check Events and complete them if you are able to do that.
  6. Follow the Task List
  7. Play Tower
  8. Play Dungeon Raids. Push them to the next difficulty if you can. Challenge doesn't cost a ticket if you fail, so there is no harm in trying.
  9. Play Chapter Adventure. If Stuck use travel and upgrade Talents
  10. Play Dungeon Dive (Don't forget to buy Dungeon Dive Vouchers)
  11. Claim Battle Pass and other Passes or Cards Rewards
  12. Donate in Guild and battle a Guild Boss

Equipment[edit source]

All the Equipment.pngEquipment up to a Mythic tier can be downgraded and you will get all the resources back for free, so do not be afraid to experiment and change equipment as needed. Early on, go with the highest rarity equipment that you have, because it will provide better stats. Major Equipment bonuses start to range at Epic tier, so anything up to that is more or less the same.

The easiest way to get equipment are Legendary Trease Chests, but they cost Gems, that are better used elsewhere for long-term progression. Instead use keys, ADs and Tower Golden Keys for Hero's Supply Crate for equipment pulls.

As you will get more equipment options you can start merging it. Never merge S tier equipment unless you are absolutely sure about it. You can upgrade equipment all the way to Epic +2 and roll back too. Currently there are 2 recommended equipment sets for the new players:

Physical Shield Build:

  • Nomad Bow.pngNomad Bow
  • Tunic.pngTunic
  • Guardian's Ring.pngGuardian's Ring
  • Guardian's Ring.pngGuardian's Ring
  • Icy Bubble.pngIcy Bubble
  • Icy Bubble.pngIcy Bubble

Skill Rage Build:

  • Nomad Staff.pngNomad Staff
  • Tunic.pngTunic
  • Magic Ring.pngMagic Ring
  • Magic Ring.pngMagic Ring
  • Icy Bubble.pngIcy Bubble
  • Icy Bubble.pngIcy Bubble

Afterwards switch to S tier equipment when you get it. If you are lucky to get Some other S-grade equipment earlier, feel free to use them, since they have additional bonuses and most of the time are better than non S equipment.

As for upgrading, I advise to go it more or less evenly, since Power Stones price goes higher with higher levels. Prioritize higher tier gear as it will give more stats per upgrade.

Pets[edit source]

Pets.pngPets will help you in battle and buff your stats. You can summon them using the Pet Eggs. As you summon you will increase Summon Level, which will increase chances of higher tier pets.

Early on just use highest rarity pet you have, since they give you better stats.

Pets can be reset just as equipment and you will get all the resources back, so you can easily adjust your pet investments.

Best bet is to get to Summon Level 4 to unlock second pet slot and then use Growth Events.pngPet Growth Event to dump all the eggs (if you can get the Round completion rewards)

As for the pets, first notable useful pets are Ice Shroom.pngIce Shroom (because of shield) and Snowy.pngSnowy (because of freeze). Afterwards aim for Legendary and Mythic pets.

Gems[edit source]

There are multiple ways how you can earn Gem.pngGems in Capybara Go!. While some are one-time opportunities, there are multiple recurring ways of farming Gems, even for F2P players.

Make sure that you do all quests and daily activities to get all available gems per day.

Depending on how far are you into the game and how many gems per day did you get Gem spending options can vary wildly.

Make sure to save up 10.000 gems for Growth Events.pngBlack Market Growth Event, you can buy 1000 Golden Horseshoes like that.

Although overall consensus among the community that this is the priority for F2P gems spending:

  1. Buy 2 Dungeon Dive Challenge Vouchers for Gems (When you reach around 100+ floor). First one will cost 100, second 200. Overall 300 Gems.
  2. Buy x15 Energy 1-2 times per day. First one is 90, second is 120. Since second is a debatable choice because of high costs, it's recommended to buy at least 1. Overall, 90 Gems.
  3. Buying Golden Horseshoe in the Black Market when discount it -30% and more.

The rest of the Gems can be used for buying 10x keys for 2500 gems in the Black Market event, Pet Eggs and Pet Food.

Events[edit source]

Most of the 7-Day Carnival Icon.pngEvents in Capybara Go! require preparation in order to claim most important rewards or compete on the leaderboard ranking, but early on, your main goal will be finishing 7-Day Carnival Icon.png7-Day Carnival Event.

As you will progress the game a bit more and will be closing on 7 days in the game you will need to start saving different Currency and Items.pngCurrency and Items in order to be able to complete Growth Events.pngRotational Growth Events. You can find detailed information on their pages, but overall that's what you need to do:

  • All Events that have leaderboard are better be finished closer to the end, that way you can see if it's possible to rank and get good ranking rewards.
  • Black Market Growth Event: Buy Mount Pack, Refinement Pack, Key Benefit Pack
  • Pet Growth Event: Open 4000 Eggs to finish the round.
  • Chest Growth Event: Open enough Chests to get 4000 points to finish the round. Points per chest:

  • Build Growth Event: 16k Spirit Stones are needed to complete the round
  • Mount Growth Event: 5000 Golden Horseshoes are needed to complete the round. You will only need 4100 in the inventory, you can get 900 from the growth event rewards

    • 1000 Golden Horseshoes (F2P)
    • 20 Golden Keys
    • 2000 Spirit Stones
